About Me

My name is Jess, and I’ve been an animal lover my whole life. Growing up my family raised dogs, cats, birds, and tropical fish, just to name a few. I originally started pet sitting to help out family and friends and as a “side hustle,” and have been happily doing so for years. After completing my BA in Business during the pandemic, I began seeking a career change, and set out to examine what type of work I truly enjoyed doing and could not see myself tiring of. I could not stop thinking about how much I love looking after peoples’ animals and genuinely enjoy spending time with them, and wishing that could be my full time job. In 2023 I decided to make that dream a reality and officially make JM Pet Services my full time career. 

I love visiting and caring for my clients’ pets, and give them the same love, care, and attention that I give my own animals at home. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, tropical fish/aquatic animals, reptiles, and livestock. I have cared for pets of various breeds and training levels, and I am comfortable administering medication, supplements, and caring for young/senior pets. I’m experienced with nervous animals and comfortable handling the needs and energy levels of working dogs and performance horses. I am committed to continuing to study animal health and behavior in my personal time in order to better understand the animals I work with and provide them with the best care possible. My personal dog is trained and titled in a variety of performance and companion sports (and more than happy to hang out with his Grandma while I’m at work!) and I can provide references attesting to my professionalism, experience, knowledge, and dedication to the animals I work with.
